By cancelling a shift within the cancellation term, you will be responsible to find a qualified replacement to prevent a no-show.

This can be done in four simple stept! You deem to find a replacement when you want to cancel a shift within the agreed cancellation term of 24, 48, 72 hours or 7 days. 

Step 1
Click on the specific shift which will then open the shiftpage. Scroll downwards and go the the header “Work”. Here you click on the button next to “Chosen” after which you will click the button “Find replacement”. 

 

Step 2
A new screen will appear which will make it clear that you would like to cancel the shift with the client. At the bottom of the page there will be a button saying 'find replacement'. By pressing this you will place the shift back on the platform so that other freelancers will be able to apply for it. 

Tip: Try to do this as quickly as possible. This will increase the chances of you finding a qualified replacement quickly. Next to doing this you can also place your shifts in one of our Whatsappgroups to share you shift with other freelancers. 

 

Step 3
When you look at your dashboard you will now see that you are trying to look for a replacement. It now is your responsibility to keep an eye on possible replacements. The shift is only visible to freelancers that are qualified and meet the requirements. There are two very important cases in this instance:

  • Keep an eye on your mail, Temper automatically sends a message your way as soon as a freelancer has applied for your shift.
  • The platform shows you exactly which and how many freelancers have applied for your shift. These are all possible replacements for you. 

 

Step 4
When the freelancers apply for a shift, these will appear on the specific shift page. You get to choose who will replace you. When you make your choice it’s important to keep in mind that the client is expecting someone that masters the same skills required for this shift as that you have. As you are responsible for the shift you will for that reason receive the same rating as the person who has replaced you. 

 

Please note: The shift will stay your responsibility until (in a timely manner) a freelancer has been found and accepted. If this is not the case, it’s your responsibility to prevent a no-show. When you’ve chosen a replacement, you will remain responsible as a freelancer. For that reason choose a qualified replacement, since their rating will also reflect back on yours.
