🇬🇧 What's seen as a valid ID to work through Temper?

Driver’s licenses aren’t. UK and Irish passports are. Non-UK/IRL are valid in combination with a Right to Work code

You can only apply for jobs through Temper after we have verified your identity and if you’re allowed to work in the United Kingdom. This is why we need you to upload a valid passport or other national ID card.

So what documents do we accept?

  • UK passport

  • Irish passport

  • Non-UK/IRL passport in combination with a Right to Work Share code

What document don’t we accept?

  • Driver’s license

  • Birth certificate

  • CitizenCard

We do not accept those documents because we are an online platform and need to establish your identity.

Right to work for non-UK nationals

If you’re not a UK or Irish citizen you’ll need to prove you’re eligible to work in the United Kingdom. Your right to work depends on your immigration status. You can apply for a Right to Work code through the government’s online Right to Work portal. If you have the right to work, you’ll be provided with a personal code.

We’ll ask you to share this code with us via the platform. Once submitted we’ll do our best to review it and accept it as soon as possible, so you’ll be able to apply to the shifts on our platform.

Important: Clients may always ask you for identification, so be sure to take your passport or ID card with you to your shifts and have your RTW share code ready. And keep in mind that a driver's license, often isn't sufficient.
