You're covered by default against damages or accidents, and potentially in case of long-term illness

When you're a FreeFlexer through Temper you're automatically insured in case of damages or incidents. Have you worked more than 10 shifts? Then you're insured in case of sickness and disability. All for free.

Thanks to our insurance partner Alicia Benefits, you can enjoy free insurance across liability, accidents and even incapacity for work. An extensive safety net to fall back on when things get tough.

What are the insurance policies?

Business Liability

Provides cover if you accidentally cause damage to a person or belongings of the client during your shift. This insurance is active during all your Temper shifts. Do note that damage caused to motor vehicles is not covered. Read more about liability insurance in this article.

Accident insurance

Provides financial support if you become permanently disabled. You will receive a one-time sum of money, and certain expenses (such as hospital stay or damage) will be reimbursed after an accident. This insurance is active during your Temper shifts only, not outside of your shift times. Read more about accident insurance in this article.

Disability (1 year)

Provides financial support if you are completely unable to work due to illness or an accident. The compensation runs until recovery with a maximum of 1 year. In addition, there is a (one-time) payment for bereavement leave and birth/adoption leave. This insurance is active if you have worked more than 10 shifts through the Temper platform. How does it work?

You will find an overview of all insurance policies on you Insurance page, which you can access through your profile menu. You can report claims here, but also when you check-out of your shift or retrospectively on past shift pages found through your dashboard. Read more about making insurance claims in this article.
